Our publication service (only in German) encompasses the Federal Statistical Office's entire publication programme, making subject-matter series and many other publications available for download free of charge. Printed publications can be ordered via our publication service.

STATmagazin – New ways for our range of information

With our STATmagazin, we offer up-to-date and specially edited information on topics that are the focus of public discussion. Authors from all statistical areas write articles for you, dealing with the latest information and thus providing comprehensive and independent statistical background knowledge.

You may also subscribe to the STATmagazin editions using our RSS-Newsfeeds. This will keep you informed about current articles, even if you have not opened our pages.

Statistical Yearbook 2008 published (only in German)

The Statistical Yearbook for the Federal Republic of Germany is the "classic publication" of the Federal Statistical Office.
It describes the social life and the economy in Germany.
As it comprises data from all areas of official statistics, it is equally suited for reference and for browsing.
You may obtain information on the population, the labour market and earnings or the development of prices in Germany. Or are you more interested in education and health, in culture or the environment? In any case, you will get an up-to-date picture of the situation in Germany.

Apart from many subject-matter publications of a general and special nature we also offer you Quality Reports containing information on the methodology, the quality and the definitions of statistical indicators.

Selected publications of the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) are available at European Data Service (EDS).
