What method is applied to calculate quarterly data?

To calculate quarterly data on the previous year's price base, a special calculation method is applied which, due to its qualities, is best suited for German national accounting, that is the so-called annual overlap method (cf. the documents on the national accounts revision available at our website (only in German)).
