Cooperation
More time for what is really important
Is there anyone who has never been annoyed by bureaucracy, authorities or administrations? Going to authorities or filling in forms costs the citizens much in terms of time, money and energy. The Federal Government has set itself the target of minimising the burden placed on the people in Germany by paperwork: Laws are checked for their administrative burden and new administrative costs are avoided. So all of us will have more time for what is really important.
It’s your turn now – measuring administrative burdens
It is you who really knows the daily burden caused by bureaucracy. Therefore, the Federal Statistical Office questions citizens in order to detect highly time-consuming and cost-intensive regulations. This will allow politicians to identify unnecessary bureaucracy and to improve legislation to become more citizen-friendly.
Commissioned by the Federal Government, we will conduct the surveys in the coming months and we need people willing to cooperate. Only one administrative activity will be examined per interview. If, for example, the time spent for completing the tax return, respondents will be asked how much time they need to get the forms, to make calculations, and to file the tax return.
Your cooperation is crucial for the programme to be successful.
