Report "Education in Germany 2010"

The third National Report on Education, too, presents a comprehensive empirical account of the entire structure of the German educational system, from early childhood education and care to the different types of continuing education of adults. Based on indicators, the report informs about the present conditions in the German education system, its performance and its problematic features. In an in-depth analysis of prospects of the German educational system in the demographic change initial results of the education forecast of the Federal Statistical Office and Länder Statistical Offices are presented.

The report was commissioned by the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. It was written by the Authoring Group Educational Reporting including the Federal Statistical Office and Länder Statistical Offices. The work was led by the German Institute for International Educational Research (Deutsches Institut für Internationale Pädagogische Forschung (DIPF)).
