If housing and transport areas are studied in terms of change rates, rather than absolute figures, one should be aware of a current problem: Conversions in official land registers are presently under way, which as external factors affect the annual change rates of housing and transport areas. That is why the long-term trend is better reflected by quarterly averages (see current report under land use).
