The Federal Statistical Office is represented in international statistical bodies of the European Union (EU), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the United Nations (UN). Hence Germany is actively engaged in advancing statistics at the European and international levels.
Statistical co-operation
In the context of statistical co-operation, the Federal Statistical Office carries out consultation projects on official statistics. Our clients are public and private institutions. Our activities focus on co-operation with the statistical offices of the candidate countries for EU accession and the EU’s eastern neighbourhood (Caucasus, Ukraine), Russia, China and Central Asia.
