The Statistical Yearbook for the Federal Republic of Germany is the "classic publication" of the Federal Statistical Office. It describes both the social life and the economy in Germany and contains information from all areas of official statistics. It is therefore equally suited for reference and browsing. You may get first-hand information on the population, the labour market, earnings or price trends in Germany. Or are you more interested in education and health, in culture or the environment? In any case you will get an up-to-date picture of the situation in Germany.
For the third year already, the Statistical Yearbook has contained an annex with information on the major statistical structures and developments in nearly all countries of the world. For the first time, in this edition you will find for any chapter of the national part a counterpart in the "International tables".
"The use of knowledge" is the motto used by the Federal Statistical Office to ensure the informational infrastructure in Germany. The statistical results are objective, neutral, independent and based on scientific principles. Use our knowledge and take a look into the Statistical Yearbook 2009.
