There are 4 variants based on different assumptions: "medium" population, lower treshold "medium population, upper treshold "relatively young" population "relatively old" population
The assumed development of the age structure is presented over a period of 110 years and can be stopped at any point. Individual years may be selected with the select box. You can use the mouse wheel to run through the years.
Pass the mouse over the pyramid to see the size of the age cohorts. Click into the pyramid to fix a birth cohort.
The entire population can be subdivided into three age classes here. The age limits may be varied infinitely by pulling mouse.
