Public educational expenditure amounting to Euro 106.2 billion in 2011
The Federation, Länder and municipalities have budgeted Euro 106.2 billion for educational expenditure in 2011, which is 2.6% more than in the financial year 2010. This is reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) in the Bildungsfinanzbericht 2011 (Report on Education Finance) published today.
The third National Report on Education, too, presents a comprehensive empirical account of the entire structure of the German educational system, from early childhood education and care to the different types of continuing education of adults. Based on indicators, the report informs about the present conditions in the German education system, its performance and its problematic features.
