Price index for residential buildings November 2011: +2.9 % on a year earlier

In November 2011, the construction price index for conventionally constructed new residential buildings (construction work performed at the building; including value-added tax) in Germany was up 2.9% compared with November 2010. In August 2011, as reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the price index increased also 2.9% on a year earlier. Compared with August 2011, the price index for residential buildings rose up 0.3% in November 2011.
 
Concerning non-residential buildings, in November 2011, the price index was up 2.9% for office buildings compared with November 2010. For industrial buildings the index rose up 3.1%. For road construction the price index rose 3.4% compared with the corresponding month of the preceding year.
