- General information
- The Demographic and Regional Standards are based on a joint recommendation of the Arbeitskreis Deutscher Markt- und Sozialforschungsinstitute (ADM) e. V., the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Sozialwissenschaftlicher Institute e. V. (ASI) and the Federal Statistical Office. The purpose of the Demographic Standards is to achieve harmonisation of the socio-structural variables in population surveys (surveys of households or individuals) in order to improve comparability between the results of various surveys. The Regional Standards are designed to consider, in a comparable form, the regional context of surveys at different regional levels. As the microcensus results are often used as reference statistics, the results of special microcensus evaluations are additionally shown in tables with the variables of the Demographic Standards in the table stub and selected regional units of the Regional Standards in the column head.
- The Methods - Approaches - Development publication provides information on both the current and the planned application of new methods and approaches in official federal statistics. Furthermore, it contains reports on major international trends in official statistics (especially in Europe), activities of statistical bodies and relevant events and also information on recent statistical and methodological reference books.
