1st quarter of 2009: Extra payments in banks down by one third
WIESBADEN – According to provisional results of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), extra payments made to full-time employees in banks in the first quarter of 2009 were down by an average EUR 1,506 or 36.4% compared with the same quarter a year earlier. Average total gross monthly earnings of bank employees, including extra payments, decreased by 5.2% on the same quarter of the previous year.
