Import prices in January 2010: +1.4% on January 2009
WIESBADEN – As reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the index of import prices increased by 1.4% in January 2010 from the corresponding month of the preceding year.From December 2009 to January 2010 the index rose by 1.7%.
The index of import prices, excluding crude oil and mineral oil products, was 2.6% below the level of a year earlier (+1.1% compared to December 2009).
The index of export prices increased by 0.4% in January 2010 from the corresponding month of the preceding year. From December 2009 to January 2010 the index rose by 0.6%.
