WIESBADEN – As reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the number of abortions notified was about 110,700 in 2009. That was a decrease of about 3,800 (–3.3%) compared with the previous year. The number of abortions notified in the fourth quarter of 2009 was about 26,800.
