Wholesale turnover in the 2nd quarter 2010: +7.1% in real terms on the 2nd quarter 2009
WIESBADEN – According to provisional results of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) the turnover achieved by wholesale trade in Germany in the 2nd quarter 2010 increased 12.2% in nominal terms and 7.1% in real terms compared with the 2nd quarter 2009. In June 2010 wholesale trade increased 15.1% in nominal terms and 10.3% in real terms compared with the corresponding month of the previous year. When adjusted for calendar and seasonal variations (Berlin Method 4.1 - BV 4.1), the June turnover was in nominal terms 1.3% and in real terms 1.2% larger than that in the preceding month. Compared with the previous year, turnover in wholesale trade increased 9.5% in nominal terms and 5.7% in real terms in the first six months of 2010.
