Turnover in the energy, water and waste management industry down 3.8% in 2015

The turnover of enterprises with 20 or more persons employed in the energy, water and waste management industry amounted to 565.6 billion euros in 2015. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was a decline of 3.8% in nominal terms compared with 2014.

Investments in energy, water and waste management industry up 2.6% in 2015

In 2015, investments in tangible fixed assets by enterprises with 20 or more persons employed in the energy, water and waste management industry increased by 2.6% on a year earlier. Based on provisional results, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that investments increased for the second year in a row (2014: +10.9%).
