Benefits for asylum seekers: number of entitled persons up 169% in 2015

At the end of 2015, a total of 975,000 people in Germany received standard benefits in accordance with the Act on Benefits for Asylum-Seekers (AsylbLG). This was a 169% increase compared with the previous year (363,000 people).

8.7 million euros spent as part of the education and participation package for young asylum-seekers in first quarter of 2016
