At the end of 2015, a total of 975,000 people in Germany received standard benefits in accordance with the Act on Benefits for Asylum-Seekers (AsylbLG). This was a 169% increase compared with the previous year (363,000 people).
In the first quarter of 2016, general government in Germany spent just under 8.7 million euros on benefits of the education and participation package in accordance with the Act on Benefits for Asylum-seekers.
