The statistics of producer prices for transport and logistics services are based on a representative survey. The field of the survey is defined in accordance with the EU-wide NACE classification. The survey population covers all Germany-based enterprises, self-employed persons and freelancers who provide services of the economic branches 492, 494, 502, 5121, 521, 5224 and 53 (Classification of Economic Activities, Edition 2008 – WZ 2008). An exception is the price index for air freight (WZ branch 5121), where foreign providers are included.
