WIESBADEN – In May 2016, the construction prices for conventionally constructed new residential buildings (construction work performed at the building; including turnover tax) in Germany were up 2.1% compared with May 2015. In February 2016, as reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the prices increased 1.7% on a year earlier. Compared with February 2016, the prices for residential buildings rose up 0.6% in May 2016.
Concerning non-residential buildings, in May 2016, the prices were up 2.2% for office buildings compared with May 2015. For industrial buildings the prices rose up 2.0%. For road construction the prices rose up 0.7% compared with the corresponding month of the preceding year.
