WIESBADEN – In August 2016, the construction prices for conventionally constructed new residential buildings (construction work performed at the building; including turnover tax) in Germany were up 2.1% compared with August 2015. In May 2016, as reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the prices also increased 2.1% on a year earlier. Compared with May 2016, the prices for residential buildings rose up 0.4% in August 2016.
Concerning non-residential buildings, in August 2016, the prices were up 2.2% for office buildings compared with August 2015. For industrial buildings the prices rose up 2.1%. For road construction the prices rose up 1.2% compared with the corresponding month of the preceding year.
