WIESBADEN – As reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), turnover in the German accommodation and food service activities in August 2016 decreased by 1.9% in real terms and increased by 0.3% in nominal terms compared with the corresponding months of the previous year.
In the first eight months of 2016, turnover in the German accommodation and food service activities increased by 0.8% in real terms and by 2.9% in nominal terms, compared with the same period in the previous year.
After adjustment for calendar and seasonal effects (Census X-12-ARIMA) the turnover in August 2016 was in real terms 0.7% and nominal terms 0.4% smaller than that in the previous month.
