WIESBADEN – In 2014, the turnover of information and communications technology (ICT) enterprises in Germany amounted to 314.3 billion euros (excluding turnover tax). The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this is an increase in turnover of 15.5 billion euros or 5.2% on 2013.
The ICT branch is composed of specialised enterprises of industry (ICT goods production), enterprises trading ICT goods (ICT wholesale trade) and enterprises providing services in the field of IT and telecommunications (ICT services) as their principal activity.
