WIESBADEN – In 2013, the income of 17,400 persons registered as wage or income taxpayers in Germany amounted to at least one million euros, which was an increase of just under 2,800 taxpayers compared with 2010. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the average income of that group was 2.7 million euros. These results of the 2013 wage and income tax statistics are available some three and a half years after the end of the tax assessment year because of the long time limits set for purposes of tax assessment.
