Press Construction prices for residential buildings May 2017: +2.8% on a year earlier

WIESBADEN – In May 2017, the construction prices for conventionally constructed new residential buildings (construction work performed at the building; including turnover tax) in Germany were up 2.8% compared with May 2016. In February 2017, as reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the prices increased 2.6% on a year earlier. Compared with February 2017, the prices for residential buildings rose up 0.9% in May 2017.

Concerning non-residential buildings, in May 2017, the prices were up 2.9% for office buildings compared with May 2016. For industrial buildings the prices rose up 3.2%. For road construction the prices rose up 3.7% compared with the corresponding month of the preceding year.
