WIESBADEN – In April 2017, German local courts reported 1,573 business insolvencies. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that this was a decline of 16.7% compared with April 2016.
The local courts reported that, in relation to the business insolvency requests, the prospective debts owed to creditors amounted to 1.3 billion euros in April 2017. In April 2016 they totalled 6.4 billion euros.
