Press 59% of German exports to third countries invoiced in euros

WIESBADEN – In 2016, the euro continued to be the currency most frequently used for German exports to countries outside the European Union (third countries). The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that, in terms of value, 59.4% of Germany's exports to third countries were invoiced in euros. 27.7% of the export transactions were made in US dollars. Other currencies were used for only 12.9% of exports.
