WIESBADEN – In August 2017, the construction prices for conventionally constructed new residential buildings (construction work performed at the building; including turnover tax) in Germany were up 3.1% compared with August 2016. In May 2017, as reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the prices increased 2.8% on a year earlier. Compared with May 2017, the prices for residential buildings rose up 0.7% in August 2017.
Concerning non-residential buildings, in August 2017, the prices were up 3.2% for office buildings compared with August 2016. For industrial buildings the prices rose up 3.3%. For road construction the prices rose up 4.2% compared with the corresponding month of the preceding year.
