WIESBADEN – German industrial enterprises with 20 or more persons employed invested 62.1 billion euros in tangible fixed assets in 2016. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was an increase of roughly 2.4 billion euros or 3.9% compared with 2015. This means that the level of investments in German industry has reached its all-time high since reference year 1964 when the survey was conducted for the first time.
