Press Production in November 2017: +3.4% seasonally adjusted on the previous month

WIESBADEN – In November 2017, production in industry was up by 3.4% from the previous month on a price, seasonally and working day adjusted basis according to provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). In October 2017, the corrected figure shows a decrease of 1.2% (primary –1.4%) from September 2017.

In November 2017, production in industry excluding energy and construction was up by 4.3%. Within industry, the production of capital goods increased by 5.7% and the production of consumer goods by 3.6%. The production of intermediate goods showed an increase by 3.0%. Energy production was down by 3.1% in November 2017 and the production in construction increased by 1.5%.

The rates of change refer to the production index for the industry (2010 = 100). Seasonal and working day adjustment is done using the Census X-12-ARIMA method.
