WIESBADEN – 42% of all German enterprises with internet access and a minimum of 10 persons employed had fast internet access in 2017. This refers to fixed broadband connections with a contractually agreed data transfer speed of at least 30 megabits per second (Mbps).
The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that, as in the previous years, Germany continued to rank in the middle range of Europe and was slightly above the average of all 28 EU Member States (40%).
