WIESBADEN – In 2017, the number of abortions increased by 2.5% compared with the previous year. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that approximately 101,200 abortions were reported in Germany in 2017.
In the fourth quarter of 2017, roughly 24,300 abortions were recorded, which was a 4.3% increase on the fourth quarter of 2016.
