WIESBADEN – The index of real earnings in Germany rose by 0.8% in 2017 compared with one year earlier. Based on final results of the quarterly survey of earnings, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that nominal earnings in 2017 increased by roughly 2.5% year on year. Consumer prices rose 1.8% in the same period.
