WIESBADEN – The statistical offices of the Federation and the Länder have agreed to develop a joint Digital Agenda for the German official statistics network. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that its goal is to actively shape the digital transformation process in the area of official statistics in order to provide users with high-quality statistical information promptly and as needed also in the future. The agenda is also aimed at further reducing the burden on citizens, enterprises and administrative authorities that are required to report data for statistical purposes. And the statistical offices intend to remain an attractive and modern employer for their staff.
