WIESBADEN – A total of 9,900 students were enrolled at state-recognised vocational academies in Germany in 2017. 3,600 of the students were in their first year, with studies generally lasting three study years. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the percentage of female students was 52% in 2017 and that of women taking up their studies 54%.
