WIESBADEN – In 2017, a total of 641 million euros of financial assistance was available within the scope of the Upgrading Training Assistance Act (AFGB). The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that this was an increase of 11.2% (+ 64 million euros) on 2016. Upgrading training assistance is financial support provided to participants in vocational upgrading training measures. It covers part of the costs of the training measure and of the living expenses.
