WIESBADEN – In the first half of 2018, the number of passengers departing from German major airports climbed by 2.5% to 56.5 million compared with the first six months of 2017. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the number of air passengers departing to foreign countries increased by 4.6% to 45.2 million. The number of domestic air passengers declined by 5.0% to 11.3 million.
