WIESBADEN – The turnover in selected service branches increased by a calendar and seasonally adjusted 4.7% in the second quarter of 2018 compared with the second quarter of 2017. Based on first calculations, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the index rose by 0.6% in the second quarter of 2018 from the previous quarter.
Approximately one in five persons employed in Germany work in the selected service branches covered by short-term economic statistics.
