WIESBADEN – In 2017, a total 3,180 people were killed in traffic accidents in Germany. That was an average of about 9 people killed every day in road traffic. Where do most traffic accidents occur in my town? Where am I most at risk when I go to work, which road junctions or motorway sections are particularly accident-prone? Where did fatal accidents occur? Were passenger cars, motorcycles, bicycles or pedestrians involved? You will get such information from the interactive accident atlas of the statistical offices of the Federation and the Länder.
