WIESBADEN – In 2017, the quantity of goods transported on the public rail network in Germany for the first time exceeded 400 million tonnes. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the total figure was 401 million tonnes, just over 2 million tonnes (+0.5%) more than in 2016.
