Retail turnover, September 2018

WIESBADEN – According to provisional data, turnover in retail trade in September 2018 was in real terms 2.6% and in nominal terms 0.7% smaller than in September 2017. The number of days open for sale was 25 in September 2018 and 26 in September 2017.
Compared with the previous year, turnover in retail trade was in the first nine months of 2018 in real terms 1.0% and in nominal terms 2.6% higher than in the corresponding period of the previous year.
When adjusted for calendar and seasonal variations (Census-X-12-ARIMA), the September turnover was in real terms 0.1% and in nominal terms 0.5% higher than that in August 2018.
