WIESBADEN – In the winter semester of 2018/2019, the number of students enrolled at German institutions of higher education has been higher than ever before. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports on the basis of first provisional results that the number of students at German institutions of higher education amounts to roughly 2,867,500 in the current winter semester. Hence the number of students has increased by 22,600 (+0.8%) as compared with the winter semester of 2017/2018.
