Press Agreed earnings in 2018 expected to be up 2.8% on the previous year

WIESBADEN – Based on first calculations of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the collectively agreed earnings are expected to increase by 2.8%, on an annual average, in 2018 year on year. This would be the highest increase since 2014. The calculation included the agreed monthly basic remuneration and agreed extra payments such as one-off payments, annual extra payments or agreed back payments. Excluding extra payments, the agreed monthly earnings are expected to be 2.6% higher than the 2017 average.
