WIESBADEN – In 2017 just under 911,000 people in Germany received integration assistance for disabled people in accordance with the German Social Code, Book XII, Chapter 6 (SGB XII). This was an increase of 1.8% compared with the preceding year. Based on information from the relevant administrative agencies, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the upward trend in the number of recipients has continued since 2005.
