WIESBADEN – The index of nominal earnings in Germany rose by 3.6% in the third quarter of 2018 on the same quarter of the previous year. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was the highest increase since the second quarter of 2011. Consumer prices were up 2.1% in the same period. This results in a real (price adjusted) growth in earnings of 1.5%.
