Roughly 1.8 million mothers and fathers received family benefits
WIESBADEN – 1.4 million mothers and 433,000 fathers received parental allowance in 2018. As the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports, the number of recipients was up 4% from 2017. While the number of mothers receiving parental allowance increased by 3%, the number of fathers rose by just under 7%.
