WIESBADEN – In 2018, the unemployment rate in Germany declined for the ninth year in a row. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) in Wiesbaden reports that 3.4% of the 15 to 74 year old labour force had no job. This was the second lowest proportion in the European Union (EU), after the Czech Republic (2.2%).
