WIESBADEN – In the first quarter of 2019, roughly 34,800 businesses were started whose legal form and number of employees suggest that they have greater economic importance. Based on an evaluation of business notifications, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was a 2.8% increase compared with the first quarter of 2018.
