WIESBADEN – In the winter semester of 2018/2019, 37,400 occasional students attended courses and lectures at German institutions of higher education. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was a 2.2% increase on the winter semester of 2017/2018. The number of German occasional students was up 4% to stand at 33,400, while the number of foreign occasional students declined by 13% to 4,000.
