WIESBADEN – The producer prices of services in Germany were up 1.8% in the 1^st quarter of 2019 compared with the same quarter of 2018. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that there were price increases in most service branches. The price increases on the 1^st quarter of 2018 were highest in “transportation and storage” and “administrative and support service activities” (2.7% for both sections of economic activity). Compared with the 4^th quarter of 2018, the producer prices of services (total) rose by 0.3%.
