On average, employers pay a gross amount of 1,281 euros in addition to salaries
WIESBADEN – In Germany, nearly half of all employees covered by collective agreements (47%) will receive a vacation bonus in 2019. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that they will, on average, receive a gross amount of 1,281 euros for their holiday budgets. This is an increase of 3.6% compared with a year earlier. The average vacation bonus of employees covered by collective agreements is 42% higher in the former territory of the Federal Republic (1,317 euros) than in the new Länder (927 euros).
